It is the injection of air through a perforated tube that is under water. It´s industrial use has been studied since 1950 by authors such as Taylor, Abraham and Buirgh and Simmons. Some of the general uses of barriers are: physical blocking, deterrent barrier, de-icing, and underwater noise attenuation.
