Aquaculture

Mitigation of harmful algal blooms (HAB), jellyfish swarms, lice reinfestation, AGD and interaction with marine fauna. Salmon, like other farmed fish, are tremendously sensitive species to variations in their normal parameters in the water. This is why TMS systems have been effectively implemented to block the passage of microalgae and jellyfish to farming sites.

Mining and desalination

Our TMS technology protects seawater intakes in desalination plants, blocking the entry of algae, microalgae, jellyfish, bivalve seeds, larvae, hydrocarbons and garbage, which impact the operation of these plants.

 

These solutions make it possible to reduce the frequency of cleaning and maintenance times, eliminate the risk of contamination of the filtered water with toxins from certain microalgae, and the generation of inert organic material.

 

On the other hand, aeration systems favor the precipitation of heavy metals in any body of water, providing efficient pretreatment for desalination plants, improving water quality and reducing the need for additional filtration systems.

Ports and marine constructions

Microbubble barriers protect ports, docks and marinas from possible hydrocarbon spills by keeping a potential spill confined to a defined area, thus protecting the ecosystem from an environmental disaster, and providing the time necessary to implement a decontamination method.

Underwater noise attenuation

Underwater noise pollution is an emerging environmental issue in Chile and the world. It can cause disorientation of the species, hearing loss, strandings and even death. TMS technology attenuates underwater noise by up to 33dB in a frequency range of 20 to 20,000 Hz, making it ideal for marine works projects that involve activities such as pile driving, blasting and drilling.

Energy

Thermoelectric plants, as well as desalination plants, capture seawater for their operation. Our microbubble barriers prevent microalgae, jellyfish, bivalve seeds, larvae, hydrocarbons and garbage from entering the intakes, which can clog pipes and systems.​ ​

 

These solutions allow you to reduce the frequency of cleaning and maintenance times. In the generation of hydraulic energy, our systems allow destratification of water from reservoirs and protect water intakes from the ingress of algae that could be generated.

Processes such as the protection of beaches, recovery of garbage in rivers, recovery of wetlands, improvement of the quality of reservoir waters, remediation of stagnant waters, improvements in water treatment plants, among others, are our permanent challenge and motivation to continue developing new solutions that promote the protection and care of the environment.
